Bailey
"I had a great experience with Roberta at Paw Prints Photography. She was very professional but also incredibly kind & patient. It was an end of life shoot for my beautiful senior girl Bailey (who has now made her journey to the spirit world) so emotions were high, when I needed a moment to regroup she was very understanding. The photos came out absolutely perfect. She really captured Baileys gentle soul & her use of light in the golden hour on the beach (which was Baileys favourite place) was stunningly beautiful. I would highly recommend Roberta for any of your professional photography needs. She was a delight to work with."
There were moments when it sounded like Bailey wouldn't even make it to the session. Her seizures were becoming more frequent as the cancer ravaging her body made its way to her brain as well. Amazingly, she rallied though, and at the sight of the ocean, her favourite place, her eyes lit up and she had a surge of energy. She refused her wheelchair and insisted on walking all by herself, despite her painful arthritis. In her final days she is surrounded by so much love from all her favourite people.
Our fur-babies lives are always too short, but every once in a while we're given bonus time with our loved one. End of Life sessions can be an emotional time for fur-parents and sometimes we don't feel like being in photos when we're grieving. The last session was difficult for Bailey's mom, but when I learned that Bailey was still hanging in there, I thought we should try again for those intimate moments we weren't able to capture the first time. Bailey may have slowed down even more since I last saw her, but she clearly still has so much love and joy left to keep her going.
